South west of The Acropolis, is Filipappou Hill, which is easily accessible, but surprisingly quite devoid of the crowds that throng The Acropolis.
The monument was once very impressive - just based on the remains of the marble statues. But the reason to go up is for the spectacular views of both The Acropolis and the city.
